Does Telicost Blackberry app consumes bandwidth

Does the Telicost Blackberry application use data from your dataplan. I would assume if it does and you do not have a dataplan you will be hit with extra charges.

Even if it is doing it should be minimal. It is a measuring app and does not need Internet to get any detail, just local to the BlackBerry Phone.
