Windows 7 Search Not Working Properly

Hi,
I am running win7 at my office pc. i am facing problems with search of windows even i tried to index all HDD partitions but the search was not able to find files or folders even in search folder.

Is that any process that we can do search classical way as back in winXP.

Hi Ashutosh, Can you tell us how did you try indexing HDD ? May be the drives are not included in the search index.

as Highlighted in yellow Color(In Image) I have gone through Control Pannel\All Controls Panel Items –> Indexing Options.

Also attaching Image please check it.

Hi Asuthosh,

Looks like you missed the attachment, not a problem I understand where you are pointing to.

#1 Are the folders included in the search index ? If not you will need to click on Modify button of the indexing tab and then select the folders and partitions.

#2 What are the file types you are looking for ?

You can find it under Advance > File Types Tab. Make sure you index the fiile types required and also include File Contents.You can always add a new extension in here.Attached Image: index advance file types.png

#3 do you have encrypted files ? If yes select the option
