The kind of aerobatics depicted in this game are not at all realistic, and neither is carrying hundreds of missiles at once. HAWX is little more than an arcade shooter, not a flight sim. But even accepting the game for what it is, I still wasn’t particularly impressed. Its far too short, much too repetitive, and very easy indeed. I think the game could have been much better with a little more thought and effort.
As an aside, those wanting a flight sim without the huge learning curve and 1001 controls to memorise might want to check out the Strike Fighters series. Very good games.
